Space Saver™ Series Air Scrubber

Cylindrical in shape and designed to remove gases and odors, as well as particulates as small as bacteria from your indoor air.  This Radial Scrub Unit is a ductless, re-circulating scrubber with built-in casters so it can be easily rolled around.  It has a 360° air-in draw, and is efficient in removing approximately 90% of gasses and odors, and 99.97% of all airborne particle phase contaminants at 0.3 microns in size per air pass.  The air purifier uses a Four Stage filtration process. 

• Stage 1: Filters air of dust particulates down to 10 microns in size via a pre-filter.

• Stage 2: Deep bed carbon filter which removes VOCs and other gases and odors from the air.

• Stage 3: 90% efficient in removing all airborne particulates down to 1 micron in size.

• Stage 4: Removes airborne particulates at 0.3 microns in size via a DOP rated HEPA filter.

The scrubbed air is ejected out the top of the unit to the ceiling to create a room-wide ceiling to floor air flow pattern.  No costly ductwork is required.  Air that you have already heated or cooled, and now cleaned, remains in your room.  The small footprint for this model allows it to be placed in areas where open floor space is limited.

Space Saver™ Series Air Scrubber

Available in four sizes, this Space Saver™ Series Air Scrubber is cylindrical in shape and has a body diameter of 20 inches.  This Radial Scrub Unit is a ductless, re-circulating air scrubber with built-in caster so it can be easily rolled around on your shop floor.  It has a 360° air-in draw, and is efficient in removing 99.97% of all airborne particle phase contaminants per pass at 0.3 microns in size.  This unit can be rolled into position immediately adjacent to the equipment or work station you wish to protect and uses a Two Stage filtration process:

• Stage 1: Filters the air of dust particulates down to 10 microns in size via a pre-filter.

• Stage 2: Filters the air of dust particulates at 0.3 microns in size (1/76,200 of an inch) via a DOP rated HEPA filter.

The scrubbed air is ejected out the top of the unit creating a laminar air flow from the ceiling downwards.  No costly ductwork is required.  Air that you have already heated or cooled remains in your work space.  The small footprint for this model allows it to be placed in areas where open floor space is limited.

The RSU Space Saver™ Series (Radial Scrub Unit) is cylindrical in shape and, depending on size, has a footprint up to 24 inches in diameter.  This is a ductless, re-circulating air scrubber with built-in casters so it can be easily rolled around on your shop floor.  It has a 360° air-in draw, and is efficient in removing airborne particulate as small as 0.3 micron via a multiple stage filtering process.  These air purifiers can be rolled into position immediately adjacent to your contaminant creating equipment, or placed next to the work station you wish to protect.  Each RSU-PC filters the air of particulate, then ejects the cleaned air out the top of the unit to the ceiling.  The ceiling to floor air pressure generated by the RSU-PC creates the correct form of air movement needed to force your room's airborne particulate toward the floor to then be captured as they are drawn through the RSU-PC filter.

These air purifiers are relied upon for odor and VOC removal by a broad range of industries.  RSUs are operating in prison armories where weapons are cleaned, chemical laboratories, and a multitude of manufacturing companies where people must work with high concentrations of VOCs such as xylene, toluene, benzene, chlorine, cyclohexanone, MEK, and MPK.  The RSU (Radial Scrub Unit) Space Saver™ Series is cylindrical in shape and, depending on model, has a footprint of 19 inches.   This is a ductless, re-circulation air scrubber with built-in casters so it can be easily rolled around on your floor.  It has a 360° air-in draw, and is efficient in removing approximately 90% of all gas phase contaminants (VOCs) per air pass.  It filters the air of dust and contaminates gases, then ejects the cleaned air out the top of the unit to the ceiling.  The gentle ceiling to t floor air pressure generated by the RSU creates the correct form of air movement needed to force heavier than air VOCs toward the floor to then be captured as they are drawn through the RSU carbon cartridge.

SSU Air Scrubbers are modular-designed air filtering units that are intended to be flexibly sized for different contaminant control applications.  An SSU can ship with one, two, or three filter banks.  Each filter bank holds eight refillable carbon cartridges.  The top end CFM of air flow that can be filtered through an SSU is determined by the number of filter banks ordered and the size blower assembly shipped with the unit.

The method of filtering an airstream is also dependent upon how the unit is ordered.  An SSU will: 

1. scrub and recirculate a room's entire air volume;

2. accept a contaminated air stream via ducting into its filters; or

3. duct its clean air exhaust into another room or process machinery. 

Final filter design for each SSU is determined by which of these three forms of air scrubbing is required and whether various pre- and post-filters for particulate capture are needed.

This diagram is one example of how two SSU filter modules can be connected together via ductwork in order to filter a contaminated airstream coming from process machinery.  In the designed air flow shown, the filtered air is exhausted into a dedicated filter room which holds all the filtering equipment.  For the installation depicted, the (OPTIONAL) Model RSU48-CC recirculating air scrubbers filter the scrubbed air coming out of the SSUs one more time, and then duct it out of the filter room and back into the main production room.  In this case, the volume of air exiting the room via the depicted RSU48CC's is matched to the volume of air exhaustng from the SSU's.
